We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Visualization Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and expertise in creating insightful visualizations using Microsoft Power BI and or similar software tools, Applicants should possess strong SQL skills to manage and manipulate data effectively.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data models and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
- Utilize SQL extensively to query databases, manage data, and perform complex joins and subqueries to prepare data for visualization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Create interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using statistical and visualization techniques.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting and analytics.
- Optimize data retrieval processes and improve existing BI systems.
- Provide training and support to business users on Power BI and SQL usage and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in BI technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data visualization and business intelligence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Strong expertise in SQL and experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
- Ability to interpret complex data and turn it into compelling visual stories.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present data narratives to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation and analysis
