Qatar National Planning Council and RealSoft Launch a Joint Project to Build Statistical Forms Using Al-Khwarizmi
Doha – November 2024
The National Planning Council (NPC) in Qatar has launched a joint project with RealSoft Advanced Applications, to enhance data collection methods for sample surveys and censuses. The project utilizes RealSoft’s innovative Al-Khwarizmi platform, which provides statisticians with powerful tools to efficiently and effectively design statistical forms—such as census forms. The platform allows users to define validation and verification rules and link forms to specific samples without requiring technical expertise, ensuring improved data accuracy and faster collection.
Al-Khwarizmi platform offers comprehensive solutions for creating statistical forms across various data collection methods, including handheld devices, call centers, and self-completion via the internet. This flexibility ensures efficient access to diverse statistical units. The collaboration aims to strengthen national statistical capabilities and support planning decisions based on accurate, comprehensive, and high-quality data.
As part of the project, an intensive month-long training program was conducted, where 20 staff members from the NPC were trained to use the Al-Khwarizmi platform. The training focused on designing forms, developing validation and verification rules, and linking them to the required statistical samples. Participants praised Al-Khwarizmi, highlighting its user-friendly interface, ease of use, and its ability to enhance productivity and accuracy.
This project marks a significant step toward fostering collaboration between government entities and leading technology companies. The partnership between the NPC and RealSoft reflects a shared commitment to achieving sustainable development goals and improving the quality of statistical data in Qatar.
